Xbox boss Phil Spencer has addressed the absence of Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series X|S, explaining that he understands why the game is currently exclusive to PlayStation 5 and PC. However, Spencer also hinted that the situation could change in the future, saying, "Never say never."

In a recent interview with IGN, Spencer was asked about the possibility of Helldivers 2 coming to Xbox. Spencer replied that he "respects" the decision by Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios to make the game a PlayStation 5 and PC exclusive.

"I think they're a great studio, and I think they're making a game that's going to be really fun," Spencer said. "I'm excited to see it come out."
